Reminder: The ranges are re-opening this weekend!
Our first general meeting since the closure will be held at 8.30 am on Saturday at Range 2. All members are encouraged to attend. Both ranges will remain closed until the meeting is finalised.
See you there! ...
Update from the President for all RANGE OFFICERS:
We are conducting a re-fresher course for all RANGE OFFICERS at Range 2 on Saturday 25th July starting at 0830hrs.
Please note that SSAA QLD now require registration of all Range Officers with SSAA QLD and it is a requirement of Q32 for your registration to do the short re-fresher course. If you decide not to do the course we will presume that you no longer wish to be a Range Officer, if you can’t attend at this date then make contact with the committee directly and we will arrange another date to do the course but until you do the course you will not be recognised as a current Range Officer. There will be some new requirements for shooters to follow so all Range Officers please attend to be advised of the changes ...
Update from the President:
The fence line has been cleared and ready for the fencing contractor, he will be starting on Monday 20th July. We hope to open the range on Saturday 8th August with the view of having a meeting at range 2 starting at 0830hrs. Both ranges will remain closed until the meeting has been conducted then the ranges will be opened providing that all the fence line work has been completed. We will require help from members to place signs along the fence line prior to opening so all help would be appreciated.
We have been advised by SSAA that we can now conduct branch level competition as well as having form 33 shooters. This also allows us to start having safety courses back up and running.
As a last reminder Range passes are due so please go online to SSAABundaberg.com.au and sign in as a new member and follow the prompts.
As per restrictions, social distancing is required and hand sanitiser will be supplied upon arrival.
Thank you all for your ongoing patience. ...

Due to the the latest restrictions surrounding COVID-19, this months firearms safety course has been cancelled. The course for May is currently pending but additional bookings have been blocked for the time being. ...
We have had a lot of discussion on this matter over the last week. In the current situation of the COVID-19 pandemic we have made the decision to suspend all competitions and scheduled practice days until further notice.
The range is not officially closed and certain shoots may still be run, i.e. private bookings as in police or training.
This decision has been made at the recommendation of various professionals, and although being an outdoor sporting club we are not yet required to close legally, we feel it is the best decision at this time. Please keep an eye out on the mailing list and Facebook. As soon as we are advised it is safe to recommence standard schedules, we will notify everyone. Please pass this message along to anyone that might not have access to emails or Facebook.
This will end eventually, and everything will resume as normal, but for the safety of the members we all feel this is the most sensible option at this time.
Bundaberg Q32 Committee ...
The work on the road has started. For those that don’t know, we put in for a grant to repair the roads into the ranges. Late last year and we were successful in getting the funding and work is well underway. Awsome work from Heritage City Earthmoving. ...
So a bit of an update on the bushfire at the range. With the hard work of the RFS we managed to get away with no buildings lost. As you can see from the pic it got very close so we are extremely lucky.
The damage we did sustain is to the fences and the all the danger signs around the boundaries.
So at this stage we have to keep the range closed until we have the signs replaced. We will need helpers next week to come and help put up new fence signs around the boundary so we can reopen for shooing. Let us know if you can help.
Also a big shoutout to Signmax Bundaberg for working over their Christmas break to get these ready for us. The gates would be closed for a lot longer without them. ...
